Classic Games

Play timeless games with friends, family or the computer — together or miles apart. 9 free games, no sign-up.

Every classic here plays three ways. 🤖 Computer: honest AI opponents with difficulty levels that genuinely differ. 👥 Same device: pass one phone around the table like the board lived in it. 🌎 Online: create a private room, send the short code, link or QR, and friends anywhere join from their own phones — the board stays in sync live, and refreshing reconnects you to the same game. No accounts, no downloads, nothing to install.

The rules are the real, documented ones — chess with castling and en passant validated by a proven rules engine, checkers with compulsory captures, Ludo's safe stars and exact home rolls, Vaikuntapali's virtue ladders and vice snakes. Where families genuinely play different house rules, the variant is named and configurable. More classics (Backgammon, Mancala, Dots & Boxes, Nine Men's Morris…) are planned on the same platform.

Classic Games — FAQ

How does online play work?

Open a game, choose 🌎 Online Friend, and Create room. You get a short room code (like APG-K7X2M), a link and a QR code — share any of them. Your friend opens it in any browser and the match runs live between your screens. If someone refreshes or loses signal briefly, they reconnect to the same game.

Do I need an account or app?

No. Everything runs in the browser — creating a room, joining by code or QR, playing, rematching. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for.

Are the computer opponents genuinely different by level?

Yes. Levels change the real search depth and style of the AI — Beginner plays fast with human-like mistakes, Hard searches deep and punishes traps. No level is random-moves pretending to be AI.

Can I put the board on the TV?

Yes — every game has fullscreen and 📺 TV mode with a big readable board. For online games, open the room on the TV browser and let players join by QR from their phones.

Which games will be added next?

The platform is built for more: Backgammon, Mancala, Dots & Boxes, Nine Men's Morris, Chinese Checkers and Ashta Chamma are on the roadmap. Request a game any time from the Request a Game page.
