What is Wheel of Names?

The Wheel of Names turns a boring list into a moment everyone watches. Teachers use it to pick who answers next, hosts use it for raffles and giveaways, and teams use it to choose who presents first. Paste names one per line, spin, and the wheel lands on one person with a fanfare.

Built for repeat use: shuffle the order, sort alphabetically, remove the winner after each spin so everyone gets exactly one turn, and hit fullscreen to fill the projector. Names are saved on your device between visits and can be shared as a link.

Wheel of Names FAQ

How do teachers use the Wheel of Names?

Paste the class list once — it is saved on the device. Each lesson, spin to choose who answers, and use Remove Winner so every student gets a turn before anyone repeats.

Is Wheel of Names really random?

Yes. The winning segment is chosen with the browser's cryptographically secure random generator before the animation plays, so the spin cannot be influenced by timing or by how hard you "spin".

How many entries can I add?

Up to 100 entries on one wheel. For large lists the segments get thin, so for 50+ names consider the Random Name Picker instead.

Can I share my wheel?

Yes — Share creates a link that pre-fills your entries so friends open the same wheel.
