What is Random Student Picker?
A student picker built around how a lesson actually runs: paste the class list once, keep it saved on the classroom laptop, and pick a student with a tap — in fullscreen on the board, with a big name card the back row can read. No Repeats is on by default, so every child answers once before anyone answers twice, and the “who has not been picked yet” problem disappears.
Teachers use it for cold-calling, reading aloud in turns, choosing helpers, forming random pairs (pick two) and ending the “you always choose him” complaint. Nothing is uploaded; the class list stays on your device.

How to play Random Student Picker
- Paste your list — names, tasks, options — one per line.
- Press PICK. A fast shuffle animation runs through the entries and stops on the winner.
- Choose whether picked entries are removed so nobody is chosen twice, or kept for repeat picks.
- Share or copy the result, or open fullscreen for the big screen.

Random Student Picker works with 5+ players and a typical round takes about 10 sec. Recommended age: All ages.

Tips
- Keep one Share link per class in your bookmarks; opening it loads that class list in a second.
- Pick with the question already on the board so the chosen student is answering, not panicking.
- Press Reset round at the start of each week so the no-repeat cycle restarts fairly.
- Turn on "No repeats" for classrooms or raffles so everyone gets one turn.
- Use Pick Several to choose multiple winners in one go.
Random Student Picker FAQ
Does the student picker keep track of who has been called?
Yes. With “No repeats until everyone is picked” on, picked students are set aside until the whole class has had a turn; then the cycle starts again. Reset round restarts it at any time.
Can I keep more than one class list?
The picker saves one list per device. The easy way to keep several classes is one Share link per class, bookmarked — opening a link loads that class list.
Is any student data sent to a server?
No. Names stay in your browser’s local storage. A Share link contains the names in the link itself, so only share it with staff.
Does it track who has been picked?
Yes — picked students are greyed out until the round resets, so participation stays fair.
Can I keep several classes?
Currently one list is saved per device. Paste a different list to switch classes — it takes two seconds.
Does Random Student Picker avoid repeats?
When "No repeats" is on, each entry is picked at most once until the list is exhausted, then it resets.
