The Best Party Games for Large Groups (No Equipment Needed)
Party games that scale to 10, 20 or 50 people with nothing but a phone and a TV — with timings, rules and the tool that runs each one.
Small-group games fall apart with twenty people: turns take forever and half the room drifts to the kitchen. The games below are chosen because they work at scale — everyone plays at once, or turns are ten seconds long.
Everyone-plays-at-once games
Most Likely To
Read the card, count to three, point. Twenty people pointing at one person is the funniest thing that will happen all night. Most Likely To tracks the votes.
Never Have I Ever
Every guest holds up ten fingers. Never Have I Ever shows the cards on the TV and counts fingers for up to twenty players.
Tambola / Bingo
Print tickets (or use an app) and let the Tambola Number Caller call numbers on the big screen with auto-call. Works for fifty people and is the traditional favourite at family functions.
Would You Rather, stand-up edition
Show a dilemma from Would You Rather; left side of the room for option A, right side for B. Then the losing side has to justify themselves.
Fast-turn games
Pass the Bomb
Bomb Timer — name something in the category, pass the phone. Ten-second turns, fifty players, zero boredom.
Team Charades
Split the crowd into four teams with the Team Generator and run Charades with 45-second rounds. The Scoreboard on a tablet keeps the rivalry alive.
Tongue twister relay
Each team lines up; players say a twister three times fast before tagging the next person.
Prizes and winners
End with a lucky draw: paste every guest's name into Pick a Winner and draw three prizes with a drum-roll on the TV. Use the Spin the Wheel if you want the theatre of a wheel.
