What is Red Light, Green Light?

Line everyone up at one end of the garden, hall or playground and put this screen where they can see it. GREEN LIGHT means run towards the finish; RED LIGHT means freeze on the spot — and the lights change at random so nobody can time their dash. A reaction timer shows how long players have been frozen, and the host can tap anyone who moved to send them back to the start.

Kids mode keeps the greens long and the reds gentle; Challenge mode is sneaky and fast for older players. Tap "Someone reached the finish" to pick the winner, and the game celebrates them with confetti.

Red Light, Green Light FAQ

How do you play Red Light, Green Light?

One player (here: the screen) faces away and calls "green light" — everyone moves forward — then "red light" — everyone freezes. Anyone caught moving on red goes back to the start. The first player to reach the caller wins.

Can the host control the lights?

Yes. Random timing runs automatically, but the big Red/Green buttons let the host override at any moment.

Do I need any equipment for Red Light, Green Light?

Only what the physical game needs (chairs, a ball, a room to move in) and one phone, tablet or laptop. The screen does the hosting: music, timers, commands and scoring.

Does the music come from the site?

Yes — the party music is generated live in your browser, so nothing is downloaded and there are no copyright problems when you play it at an event.

Can I run it from a TV?

Yes. Open the game on a laptop or phone connected to the TV and press Fullscreen. Everything scales up for the big screen.
