What is Musical Chairs?
Musical Chairs Online turns any phone, tablet or TV into the game master. Set out one chair fewer than players, press Start, and the screen plays original party music, stops it at a moment nobody can predict, shouts FIND A CHAIR!, and asks who is out. Remove a chair, tap Next round, repeat — until one champion is left standing (well, sitting) in a shower of confetti.
Four music styles fit any crowd: Kids (bouncy and slow), Party (four-on-the-floor), Fast & Fun (breathless) and a Birthday mode that plays a Happy Birthday tune. Setup. Count your players and set out one chair fewer — seven players, six chairs. Arrange the chairs in a circle with the seats facing outwards (back-to-back in two rows works too). Clear the floor around them: this game is played at a scramble.
- When the music starts, everyone walks around the chairs in the same direction — walking, not hovering. No touching the chairs while the music plays.
- The moment the music stops, everyone sits on the nearest empty chair. One seat per person, first bottom on the seat wins it.
- The player left standing is out — they join the audience (or become your co-DJ).
- Remove one chair, restart the music, and play the next round.
- The final round is two players circling one chair. Whoever claims it is the champion.
Ties and disputes. If two players land on one chair at the same instant, the player with more of the seat stays — or replay just those two around a single chair while everyone else cheers. The host's call is final; agree that before round one and there are no tears.

- Cooperative Musical Chairs — nobody is ever out. Remove a chair each round but keep every player in: the whole group must fit on the remaining chairs (laps, perching, teamwork). The game ends in a giggling human pyramid on one chair. Brilliant for young kids.
