What is Raja Mantri Chor Sipahi?
Four folded chits — Raja, Mantri, Chor, Sipahi — shuffled and thrown on the floor; everyone grabs one, the Raja calls for the Mantri, and the Mantri has to guess which of the other two is the Chor. This version deals the chits on one phone, so nobody can peek, nobody argues about who grabbed first, and the points (1000, 800, 500, 0) add themselves up round after round.
Pass the phone around the circle: each player taps to see their chit and hides it again. The Raja and Mantri are announced, the Mantri picks a name, the reveal shows who was who, and the next round is dealt.
Raja Mantri Chor Sipahi rules
Four chits are folded and shuffled: Raja (king, 1000 points), Mantri (minister, 800), Sipahi (soldier, 500) and Chor (thief, 0). Everyone takes one and looks in secret. The Raja announces himself and asks for his Mantri; the Mantri stands up and has to say which of the two silent players is the Chor. Right: everyone scores their chit. Wrong: in most homes the Chor takes the Mantri’s 800 and the Mantri gets nothing; in others the Mantri simply scores 0. Rounds are repeated and the highest total wins.
How this version deals the chits
The phone shuffles the four roles and shows each player their own chit while the others look away, so there is no grabbing, no torn paper and no “I saw yours”. The Raja and Mantri are revealed on screen, the Mantri taps a name, and the round is scored automatically with a running leaderboard. Choose the wrong-guess rule before you start.
Variations
- Chor police: the same game with Police instead of Sipahi — the Police must catch the Chor.
- Raja Rani Chor Police: Rani (queen) replaces Mantri; the Police guesses.
- Six players: add Senapati (600) and Vazir (700) chits with paper; the phone version stays at four.
- Target score: first to 5,000 wins instead of a fixed number of rounds.
