What is Antakshari?
Antakshari is the singing game every Indian family, bus journey and college hostel knows: a team sings a few lines of a song, and the next team must sing one that starts with the sound the last song ended on. This game master gives you the letter in the script of your language — क, க, ক, ਕ or plain K — with a transliteration hint, a timer to start singing, and buttons for Point, Challenge and Next.
Choose Random letters for a quick round or Chain mode to enter the sound the previous song ended on, pick 30, 45 or 60 seconds, set a number of rounds for tournament play and let the scoreboard decide the champions. The site never shows lyrics — the songs come from you.

Antakshari rules and scoring
Split into teams. The first team sings a song; the letter the song ends on becomes the letter the next team must start from — that chain is the whole game (antakshari literally means “the ending letter”). A team gets about 30 seconds to start singing (use this page’s timer); singing at least the mukhda (the opening lines) counts. Fail and the letter passes on — score a point per successful song, or simply play until one side is stumped.
Antakshari variations to keep it fresh
Movie names — say a film title instead of singing. One-word round — the song must be started from a single given word. Theme rounds — only rain songs, only sad songs, only one hero’s films. English-only — pop songs instead of filmi. Speed round — 10 seconds on the timer instead of 30. This page deals random letters in ten languages, so mixed families can run Telugu, Tamil or Punjabi rounds too.
Which letters are hardest (and what to sing)
Everyone fears the rare letters. For ट (Ta) remember Titli or Tunak Tunak Tun; for ठ/ढ most tables allow switching to the nearest soft letter — agree on this house rule before starting. The truly safe strategy: end your own songs on hard letters so the other team inherits them!
