What is Guess the Word?
Hold the phone to your forehead, screen facing your friends. They shout clues; you guess. Tap GOT IT (or press Space) when you get it, SKIP when you are stuck, and race the 60-second timer — the phone counts your correct words and shows a round summary with everything you got and everything you missed.
Fourteen categories cover animals, food, movies, sports, jobs, countries, everyday objects, actions, a gentle Kids set, family life, funny moments, an India pack and world landmarks. Easy, Medium and Hard levels change the word lists, rounds rotate through players or teams automatically, and the final scoreboard crowns the winner with confetti.

Guess the Word FAQ
How is this different from Charades?
In Charades you act the word silently; in Guess the Word your team describes it with words while you (the guesser) cannot see the screen.
Do I need to tilt the phone?
No — the big GOT IT and SKIP buttons sit at the bottom of the screen so the guesser can tap them blind.
How many prompts does Guess the Word have?
Hundreds, hand-written and shuffled so replays feel new. Every category is family-safe unless labelled otherwise.
Can we play in teams?
Yes — enter team names instead of players and the game keeps a team scoreboard.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the whole game runs in your browser; a brief connection drop will not stop it.
