What is Tile Match?
A pile of picture tiles — fruit, animals, stars — stacked three or four layers deep. Tap any tile that has nothing on top of it and it slides into the tray; collect three of the same picture and they disappear. The catch is the tray: it holds seven tiles, and if it fills with no triple in it, the round is over. The fun is in the planning — which tile to lift now so the ones underneath come free later.
Every pile here is generated backwards from a solution, so the daily pile and every level can be cleared without ever needing more than three slots — if you find the right order. Undo, Hint and Shuffle help when you do not. Levels grow from 24 tiles with six pictures up to 90 tiles and two dozen pictures; the daily is the same 54-tile pile for everyone.

The tray rules
The tray holds seven tiles. A tapped tile slides in next to any tile of the same picture, so matching tiles always sit together. The moment a third of a kind arrives, all three clear and the slots close up. If the seventh slot fills and no three match, the round is lost — you can undo the last move and keep going, or restart the same pile.
How to actually clear a pile
- Count before you tap: a tile is only worth taking if two more of its kind are free or one tap away.
- Two in the tray and the third buried? Dig for it rather than starting a new picture.
- Use Hint when the tray has five or six tiles — it prefers pictures you already hold.
- Shuffle is a last resort: it keeps the pile but not the guarantee that it can be cleared.

Tips
- Never take a tile just because it is free — take it because a second and third of its kind are free or about to be.
- Dig into the tallest stack first; it hides the most tiles.
- With two in the tray and no third in sight, use Hint before the tray reaches six.
Tile Match FAQ
How does Tile Match work?
Tiles are stacked in layers. A tile can be taken when nothing overlaps it from above. Taken tiles go to a seven-slot tray; three identical tiles in the tray clear. Clear the whole pile to win; a full tray with no match loses the round (Undo and Try again are offered).
Are the piles always solvable?
Yes — each pile is built by placing triples in reverse order of a solution, so a path to clearing it exists from the start. Shuffling mid-round can change that, which is why a daily pile cleared without shuffling counts for your streak.
How many levels are there?
Levels are generated from their number, so there is no end — level 37 is the same pile every time. The tile count reaches its maximum of 90 by level 9; the number of different pictures keeps rising until about level 36, then stays at the hardest mix.
Is Tile Match free?
Yes — 100% free with no account required.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, it is designed for phones first and works on tablets, laptops and TVs.
